Our Story

Boeresjiek Potchefstroom is proud to announce the opening of “The Boeresjiek Frozen Kitchen”. We are a small 2nd generation family run business owned by Hendrie and Chrisna van der Merwe situated in the lovely town of Potchefstroom for the past 22 years. 

We are known for offering home-style cooked food 7 days a week to our customers with an average 30 dish a day selection.  We source most of our vegetables from local farmers and we also do all our meat processing in-house.

We have two branches in Potchefstroom. One branch is situated close to the NWU University Potchefstroom campus serving hundres of students per week yearning for their “mother’s” home cooked food.  We cater for functions from platters for meetings to weddings to symposiums.  As a result of various request from clients and parents of students living in Gauteng, the need arose for us to bring our home-style hearty traditional cooked food to the doorstep of clients outside of Potchefstroom.
